It was almost Christmas of 2021 and we decided to spend it in Tagaytay. The whole country was struggling from all the lock downs and it was really difficult as each Town or City has its own restrictions. Luckily, Tagaytay was in Alert Level 1 during that time (meaning, minimal requirements and kids were allowed already in the area) and a lot of establishments started to operate again.
Prior to checking in to our Airbnb, we dropped by Yoki’s Farm to have a quick nature tour with our daughter. The place was nice and big (and a bit hot not sure why considering it was already December AND in Tagaytay) although some of the areas were still close as they just reopened since Pandemic. They have plenty of animals to visit and some where you can play and feed. You can also experience close encounter with the Zebra and Ostrich (a bit scary though). Overall, it was a nice experience for the Family.
We had our lunch in one of the local restaurants (I forgot the name of the place but it was a couple of meters to the right when you hit the main road from the Farm) where we had the famous “Bulalo” (of course). The price was okay and you will have the magnificent view of Taal Lake and Volcano. Tummies full, time to check-in.
We booked our Airbnb in SMDC Tagaytay and the place is just perfect for its location. It is situated along Mahogany Avenue (One-way to Nasugbu) and Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway (One-way to Tagaytay main) so it was easy to navigate where you want to be. A number of good and affordable restaurants just around the corner as well. The whole place is perfect for kids as it has a huge park where they can run and play (you can even bring kites if you want).
All in all, we had a great time and would definitely go back this next 2022 Christmas (and maybe New Year!).
