I just completed my Pre-Employment Medical Exam this morning and I kept on wondering, “What is this really for and what is its importance?”. Of course, I have to undergo the usual routine again. Like collecting of specimen such as Urine, Blood and my favorite “Pea” size Stool. Practitioner or a licensed Doctor also conducts Drug Test, ECG, X-Ray and Physical Exam. So going back to the question “What is the importance of this Pre-Employment Medical Exam?”. I have gathered some information I wanted to share with you.
Before individuals can commence their employment journey in the Philippines, many employers require candidates to undergo pre-employment medical examinations. These medical assessments ensure that prospective employees are physically fit to perform their job responsibilities. This process also promotes a safe working environment. This test helps identify any active TB infection or latent TB that may be present. It is crucial to note that a positive result for latent TB does not necessarily disqualify a candidate, as preventive treatment can be administered to reduce the risk of developing active TB. - Psychological Assessment:
